And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
-Mark 5:32-34 NKJV
The Word of Promise New Testament is a dramatic audio presentation of the New King James Version of the Bible. There are many well known people who participate as part of this dramatization. These include Kimberly Williams-Paisley as Mary the Mother of Jesus, John Schneider as James, Marisa Tomei as Mary Magdalene, and Jim Caviezel as Jesus.
I was very excited to have the opportunity to review this audio Bible. I have been spending my time recently in the New King James Version of the Bible, so this was a very nice addition to my study.
As part of our homeschool study, we often listen to the audio Bible while riding in the car, and at home. We have been listening to the NIV version, and I wanted a change for my kids.
We really enjoy listening to this audio Bible. Listening to the Word of God on audio or watching it adds that additional learning element, and provides another way of storing the Word in one's heart.
Jim Caviezel as Jesus is a treat because of his portrayal of Jesus in the movie, The Passion of the Christ. His voice is soft but strong, much like I imagine the voice of Jesus to be.
I recommend this audio version of the Bible to anyone who wants to deepen their knowledge of the Word of God, and know Jesus better. He is the cornerstone, the reason we breathe. In Him, we live and move and have our being. Spending time with this audio dramatization will anchor your soul more to Him and His Word.
Many blessings to you as you grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Beth
