God Bless Our Fall by Hannah C. Hall Illustrated by Steve Whitlow

"Let's cuddle up around the fire
And warm our little feet.
The cider's hot and hits the spot.
The s'mores are gooey sweet."

God Bless Our Fall is a sweet little board book for children written in poetry form. It goes through all the fun activities people often experience in the fall like the changing colors of the leaves, pumpkin carving, hay rides, baking, outdoor fires, harvest festivals, and jumping in leaf piles. Different animals are featured in each of the different activities, which adds another element of education and fun to the picture book.

God is mentioned many times.  Children learn that God is the creator of fall.  The author thanks God and asks Him to bless our fall.

The book is aesthetically pleasing and the text is easy to read.  It would be a fun book to add some American Sign Language to while you read it to your little ones.  I like having another book about seasons to add to our collection.

I recommend this book to parents of early readers. The text is rhyming, so it would be a good book to work on those reading skills.

It would also be a great book to include when teaching children about God and His creation, because of all the different illustrations of animals, nature, and foods.

God bless you all in this new fall season,
Beth
